On April 6, the Big Bear Lake Elks Lodge came together to celebrate the life of our dear member, Steven Richards.
A touching fire truck salute honored his years of dedicated service as an LA County firefighter. In a nod to Steven’s humble humor, we included a phone booth—he once joked that only a few people would come to his memorial. He was wrong.
Guests smiled through tears as they enjoyed Heath bars, a favorite treat he loved to gift… and sneak back for himself.
Steven’s warmth, wit, and ever-present smile will be deeply missed in #1787.
Rest in peace, Brother.
